The movie above reminds me of a very happy memory.

When C was about 10 months old one Saturday when his father had to work he set up a nice fire in the fireplace and left. I was leaning back on the end of the couch with my knees propped up, getting toasty warm while holding my son and talking with him. “You have the cutest belly,” I’d say, to be answered with “Ba ba ba GAR GAR GAR!” and a toothless smile. He was an awfully cute little guy.

For some reason that day I was chewing bubble gum for the first time in a long while and blew a bubble and popped it while C was on my lap. His eyes went all saucer-sized and he was almost tremble-chin until I grinned at him and did it again. O_O expression changed to a grin and full-on belly laugh of amazement so of course the next 30 minutes were spent blowing bubbles for him. He chortled so hard that he almost fell over and gave himself a romping case of hiccups. It got to the point that all we two had to do was look at each other to set off a joint round of helpless laughter.

After all this amusement he was worn out and eventually I was sitting there soaking up the heat from the fire, sleeping baby lying on my chest, his little head snuggled into my shoulder where I could turn my head to nuff his hair and give him a kiss.

That was a very nice morning. :-)

I love this video and your story. I love it when babies get to the age that they can remember and predict and something silly happens that sets them off, over and over again. So fun and funny. Thanks for posting this video.
