I’ll admit, I have never really considered how the pipes in pipe organs were constructed. If you think about the graduated set of finely-tuned tubes, this must be quite an undertaking.

Thanks to a movie of the behind-the-scenes operations at Bedient Pipe Organ Company we can now see the initial step: spreading liquid lead into a fine sheet which can then be cut and shaped. Dangerous! but so neat!
