Dododreams

Last night I was acting as coach & tutor for my youngest child during her math homework time. She was having a difficult time with long division and suddenly pushed her homework off her lap. leaned back, and gave me the Terminator Glare. When I finally got her to tell me why she was mad at me she said, “Mom, you are so annoying! You are always so calm! You never get upset at all!!!”

All I can say to that is, ahem:

I’d like to thank the members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and everyone who voted for me. I am so honored to be standing here tonight. This performance was the culmination of years of rehearsal, immersing myself in the character of Calm Person Who Never Gets Upset At All and I’m gratified that my harshest critic has found my playing of that challenging role believable. Thank you! Thank you all!
