In like a lion?

To back up a couple days, here’s what it looked like last Thursday afternoon outside the window at work:

I guess 4 inches of snow fell in an hour. There were times when you couldn’t see the next building over. The streets were totally unplowed at rush hour — it was a challenge to find a way out of downtown (which is basically down on river bluffs) without having to attempt any steep hills.

This morning after two days of sunshine the snow has settled quite a bit. Here is the view of the driveway from the front steps:

And from down the driveway back towards the house:

Someone appears to like to settle down on one little patch of bare earth next to the back door out of the garage. But where do those tracks lead?

Funny how the backyard has a much lower depth of snowpack. Thank you, Sol, for that.
